The Future of Intelligent Productivity…

by John Soares on August 8, 2010

No, I haven’t disappeared. And yes, I’ve been intelligent and productive in the weeks since I last posted.

Why the gap with no posts? Several reasons, but the most important is that I’m currently creating a new website that will incorporate intelligent productivity and freelance writing.

Other reasons:

Please stay tuned: the new site should be up and running around the end of the month. I’ll let you know here and you can then go subscribe to it. I promise you’ll get all the same information and analysis you’ve been getting at Intelligent Productivity.

And now I’m off to backpack in the Trinity Alps for a few days.

As many of you know, I’m a freelance writer who also creates e-books and sells them on the Internet, a process I explore at my sister site: Selling Information Products Online.

I just wrote a detailed post over there about the changes I’m making in how I spend my time working, and especially online:

We all need to make the best use of our time as we pursue our goals, and we must make sure we’re doing the highest priority activities that will give us the highest return on the investment of our precious minutes and dollars.

To that end, I’m making some important changes in what I’m doing regarding selling information products and marketing myself online. I think of it as consolidating my base so I’ll have more secure footing for later expansion.

This is all part of Intelligent Productivity, so please read my Selling Information Products Online post and leave a comment with your thoughts on what I’m doing.

Ending Phone Interruptions

June 17, 2010

To be efficient and happy, you must minimize all types of interruptions. And the jar of a suddenly ringing phone is one of the worst possible interruptions. Funny Video Mocks BP’s Handling of the Gulf Oil Spill

June 12, 2010

The BP oil spill and its handling is a classic example of NOT using Intelligent Productivity. Yes, it’s one of the major environmental disasters of the 21st century, perhaps the biggest so far, but…I like to see the humor in any situation. Thanks to the good folks at UCB Comedy. Brought to my attention by [...]

Sometimes You Gotta Make A Change…

May 27, 2010

And for me that was changing web hosts. I wrote last week I was changing hosts, but I didn’t give details. I Switched Hosts Because… I had been hosting this site and more than a dozen other WordPress blog sites with Godaddy, but all of these sites were (briefly) hacked this month. One of my [...]
